You Will Need The Following Items: ( for sale below )

  • 5 GALLON BUCKET WITH  W-5794 ADAPTER ATTACHED

  • 6 FOOT 2 1/2 INCH VAC HOSE W-5793

  • VAC CREVICE TOOL W-5792

  • LID FOR BUCKET CUT TO ATTACH BLOWER

  • PROTECTIVE DEVICES FOR EYES AND EARS

 INSTRUCTIONS:

Drill a 2 inch hole in a 5 gallon bucket high enough on the side of the bucket so that material can collect below the opening. The 2 inch hole will be a little too tight for the Vac Adapter, (W-5794), so the hole will need to be very slightly enlarged with sand paper or a reaming tool.

Attach the Vac Adapter to the bucket using the three machine screws and  rubber washers provided with the Vac Adapter. ( Note) It is easy to locate the 3 holes on the bucket for the screws if you drill the holes in the adapter all the way through the adapter. This will allow you to mark the hole locations in the bucket from the outside of the bucket. This will not effect the performance of the vac as the holes in the adapter will be plugged by the machine screws when the adapter is secured to the bucket.

Attach your 2 cycle leaf blower to the 5 gallon bucket lid. The exact method of attaching the blower to the lid varies with the type of 2 cycle blower and requires a little ingenuity on your part . We cannot give you specific instructions as their are lots of blower designs. Generally you cut a large hole in the bucket lid and attach the blower securely to the lid so that the air coming into the blower must come through the hole in the lid.

When the lid is attached to the bucket, with the blower attached, the air coming through the blower will have to come through the vac adapter hole. Attach the vac hose to this port and you have a very effective gas vacuum.

Always wear protection for your eyes and ears as you will be working very close to the unit and it will be loud which could damage your hearing. The air coming out of the blower will contain small projectiles which could damage property or cause injury to your eyes.

Also be careful with the static electricity that will build up on the surface of the material in the bucket. Never try to add fuel to the blower when when the blower is on the bucket. The static discharge can cause a substantial fire hazard.
